The forward has scored 5 goals in ten domestic competition appearances during the current campaign.

The Madrid giants winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to fans for his response when taken off in Sunday's heated El Clasico victory.

Vinicius was substituted in the second half and expressed his disappointment by going straight down the tunnel.

He later returned to the sidelines and, after his team's 2-1 win, sought to engage Barça's Lamine Yamal during unsavoury post-match incidents.

"This day I want to say sorry to all the Real Madrid fans for my response when I was substituted in the big match," he shared on X.

"Just as I have said in person during this morning's practice, I also want to say sorry once more to my colleagues, the club, and the president.

"Sometimes emotion gets the better of me because I constantly desire to triumph and help my side. My determined nature originates in the love I feel for this team and everything it symbolizes."

He joined Real from his former club in 2018 for millions and has scored over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.

But his prospects in the La Liga is uncertain with speculation in recent months indicating that the club would contemplate letting the 25-year-old leave if they obtained a good proposal.

When he was substituted on Sunday, broadcast footage from broadcaster the platform captured him saying: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I leave, I'm moving on."

In his new message on X, the athlete said: "I commit to keep striving at all times for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."
