Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Coast
A helicopter flying near a popular California beach suddenly started spinning wildly, finally losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared online capture the aircraft beginning to twirl above the shoreline then falling near the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palm groves and a staircase near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
Local firefighters said five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the incident on that day.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
