A Pair of Suspects Accused with Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
A pair of suspects stand accused of murder after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) have both been charged with murder and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
